Chief Investigator – Dr Jane E. Hunt: Jane Hunt, a recognised leader in triathlon history, with a research interest in cultural histories of women, is well placed to conduct this research project. An Assistant Professor at Bond University, Gold Coast, Australia, Hunt holds a BA with First Class Honours, and a Doctor of Philosophy with a focus on twentieth century women’s cultural history. An Australian sports historian, long-serving member of the Triathlon Australia Awards Committee, President of The Ratpack Multisport, former Secretary of the Australian Society for Sports History, Hunt wrote the book Multisport Dreaming: The Foundations of Triathlon in Australia (2014). For that project, Hunt interviewed around 200 people across Australia and the world, including early pioneer athletes, world champions, Olympians, members of the International Triathlon Union, race directors, shop and business owners, and everyday athletes. Hunt also wrote articles for Australian Triathlete, Triathlon Multisport Magazine, Age Group Triathlete, and Multisport Magazine, established the History of Triathlon in Australia Facebook page, and published peer-reviewed journal articles.

Hunt started to lay the groundwork for the WITH Project in 2015, which led to a number of preliminary projects. Among them is an annotated dual memoir of two American masters women runners who embraced triathlon in the 1980s before working to encourage other women to participate in the sport - Dottie Dorion and Celeste Callahan.

Research Assistant - Cindy Aleshkov: Cindy Aleshkov is a senior research assistant and communications and research coordinator at Bond University. She graduated with a MA in International Relations with a focus on gender and feminist theory.
